Beyond bunkers, the program explores more than 100 abandoned and hidden military bases during World War II, while also engaging with the many people who left these facilities and the effects they had on society.

During World War II, German Nazis built concrete bunkers up and down the west coasts of Norway and France. These fortifications were known collectively as the Atlantic Wall, and it was this barrier that the Allies breached during the invasion of Normandy. from Atlantikwall

The German Military became the land forces component of the German Wehrmacht on June 17, 1935 until it surrendered during World War II, which was one day after Hitler declared war on the United States from Atlantikwall

You’ve found a 1943 photo of a WWII bunker found abandoned near a street near Brussels, Belgium. The Bunkers have been discovered almost intact! In the photo, this Bunker is dated as the 8th July 1943.
